Pedagogy & Learning Delivery
Postgraduate Certificate in Business Analytics (PGCBA)
The primary method of instruction will be through LIVE online lectures delivered via the Internet and streamed directly to participant devices such as laptops or desktops. Concepts are explained using real-life business examples to ensure practical understanding and application.
- The pedagogy comprises lectures, case methods, analytical exercises, group work, projects, term papers, assignments, and dissertation, imparted by XLRI faculty.
- All enrolled participants are provided access to the Cloud Campus, enabling access to learning aids, reference materials, assessments, case studies, projects, and assignments.
- Throughout the programme duration, participants can interact with faculty in real time during live classes or offline via the Cloud Campus to raise questions and clarify doubts.
Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Postgraduate Certificate in Business Analytics (PGCBA)
Applicants must meet the minimum academic and work experience requirements. Selection is based on a structured review of academic performance, work experience, and submission of a Statement of Purpose (SOP).
- Mathematics or Statistics as a subject in Class XII or in Graduation with at least 50% marks.
- For Indian participants: Bachelor’s in Engineering (10+2+4) OR Graduates in Computers, Science, Commerce or Business (10+2+3) from a recognized university (UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU/State Government).
- For International participants: Graduation or equivalent degree from a recognized university or institution in their respective country.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in the field of analytics.
- Selection process: Validation of academic performance and work experience, along with submission of a Statement of Purpose (SOP).

In-Campus Immersion Module
Postgraduate Certificate in Business Analytics (PGCBA)
The programme includes a one-week in-campus immersion at XLRI, Jamshedpur, offering participants an opportunity to experience the campus environment, interact closely with faculty, and network with peers.
- During the campus stay, participants are required to engage in intensive classroom and group learning sessions.
- The dates of the in-campus immersion will be communicated after the Jharkhand State Government permits higher education institutions to conduct in-campus programmes.
- Attendance to the In-Campus module is mandatory for all participants.
- The in-campus modules are subject to prevailing conditions at the time, including those related to pandemic or other unavoidable reasons. If required, appropriate alternate online options will be made available.

Attendance, Evaluation & Certification
Postgraduate Certificate in Business Analytics (PGCBA)
A minimum of 80% attendance in the LIVE lectures of each course is a prerequisite for the successful completion of the programme.
In the event that attendance falls below 50% for any course, participants will be required to repeat the course.
Participants who successfully meet the attendance requirements and evaluation criteria will be awarded a Certificate of Completion by XLRI Jamshedpur.
Certification & Specialization
Postgraduate Certificate in Business Analytics (PGCBA)
Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will be conferred the “Postgraduate Certificate in Business Analytics” directly by XLRI Jamshedpur.
Participants also have the opportunity to earn a Specialization Certificate in their chosen elective area, provided they meet the prescribed qualifying standards for the elective courses and the associated project in that specialization.
