Programme Objectives
Family businesses occupy a distinctive and deeply consequential space in India's economy and social fabric. From multi-generational trading houses to diversified conglomerates, they have shaped industries, created employment and anchored communities.
Being part of a significant family business legacy is both a privilege and a profound responsibility. It involves stewardship of accumulated financial, social and reputational capital with competence, integrity and foresight.
Today's family business leaders must reconcile tradition with transformation. Technological disruption, global competition, regulatory complexity and changing stakeholder expectations demand professionalisation, governance discipline, strategic clarity and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Build strategic clarity and a forward-looking entrepreneurial mindset to guide family enterprises through change and growth.
Understand governance frameworks and professional management practices that support responsible business stewardship.
Navigate intergenerational aspirations, succession planning and the responsibilities of sustaining a family business legacy.
Understand the intersection of ownership, management and kinship, and address conflicts shaped by values and relationships.
Evaluate innovation, strategic risk-taking and transformation opportunities in an increasingly complex business environment.
Programme Perspective: The Executive Development Programme in Family Business Leadership recognises family enterprises as both economic entities and socio-emotional systems. Integrating strategic management, governance, succession planning, conflict management, innovation and risk-taking within the context of family dynamics, the programme aims to equip owners and senior executives with the conceptual clarity, practical tools and strategic frameworks necessary to navigate complexity.
